Domínico Americano School celebrates its Spirit Week with enthusiasm and student creativity

The Domínico Americano School celebrated its traditional Spirit Week from March 23 to 26, an initiative that fosters integration, a sense of belonging, and creative expression among students.

For four consecutive days, the student community engaged in themed activities that brought dynamism and energy to the school environment. The week began on Monday with Crazy Hair Day, where students stood out with original hairstyles and eye-catching accessories.

On Tuesday, Twin Day encouraged friendship and teamwork through coordinated outfits among classmates or small groups. The celebration continued on Wednesday with Mismatch Day, in which students combined colors and patterns creatively while respecting the institutional dress code.

The week concluded on Thursday with Sports Day, a moment when students proudly represented their favorite sports or teams, strengthening school spirit and camaraderie.

This activity is part of the school’s initiatives to enrich the student experience, promoting values such as creativity, collaboration, and institutional identity.

Our Preschool students enjoyed a theatrical experience full of learning and fun

Preschool students enjoyed a special day with the visit of the Teatro Guloya group, who presented the charming play Guanín and His Magic Satchel.

Through colorful and eye-catching puppets, the children experienced an interactive performance that, besides entertaining them, taught valuable lessons about empathy, respect for nature, and the importance of understanding that we cannot always have everything we desire.

The activity was enthusiastically received by the little ones, who remained attentive and engaged throughout the presentation, demonstrating the positive impact of art on their learning process.

Preschool students enjoyed a very special experience during a judo demonstration, where they were able to observe some basic movements and engage with this discipline in a dynamic and educational way.

The activity featured the participation of black belt representatives, who shared with the attending parents the importance of judo in child development. Throughout the event, fundamental values promoted by this sport were highlighted, such as discipline, respect, self-control, and self-confidence.

This space became a valuable opportunity for both families and students to learn more about the benefits of judo, not only at the physical level but also in the comprehensive formation of children.

Preschool students celebrate Dominican Independence with a story about the Taínos

In commemoration of Dominican Independence Day, preschool students took part in a special educational activity where they enjoyed a beautiful story about the Taínos, the first inhabitants of the island of Hispaniola.

Through storytelling, the students symbolically traveled back in time to learn more about the traditions, customs, and cultural legacy of this Indigenous people, thereby strengthening their connection to the historical roots of the Dominican Republic.

The activity allowed participants to discover important aspects of Taíno life and to better understand how their heritage forms part of today’s Dominican identity. Through the power of storytelling, the students not only learned history but also developed a deeper appreciation for the country’s cultural richness.

Our students celebrated Valentine’s Day surrounded by smiles, hugs, and moments that will remain in everyone’s memory. It was a day marked by friendship, meaningful details, and shared joy, strengthening the bonds that unite us as a community.

In addition, our EVAIA Seniors organized a delightful Bake Sale that added a special touch of sweetness to the celebration. With initiative, creativity, and organization, they demonstrated leadership and an admirable team spirit in every detail of the event.

With joy and great creativity, our students celebrated their 100 days of classes in an unforgettable way: dressed up as grandparents!

Gray hair, canes, glasses, and imaginative outfits were all part of this fun day that turned learning into an even more meaningful experience. The activity was not only filled with laughter and enthusiasm, but also reinforced the importance of each day as an opportunity to grow.

During these first 100 days, we have added knowledge, friendships, and experiences that begin to build great stories from an early age. Each day in the classroom represents another step in the academic and personal development of our students.
