A New Beginning: Meet the Teacher

With great joy, we reunited to start a new school year full of hope, learning, and new experiences.

Our Meet the Teacher event was the perfect starting point to begin this new adventure. During the meeting, our families had the opportunity to meet and interact with the teachers who will accompany their children throughout this new school year.

It was a day marked by the excitement of reuniting, the hope for all that is to come, and the commitment to continue creating meaningful experiences for our students.

We thank all our families for joining us on this special day and, above all, for placing their trust in us to walk alongside their children every step of this new year.

A very special day with our grandparents

We experienced a very special day in the company of our grandparents, filled with stories, learning, and unforgettable moments.

During this gathering, we had the honor of welcoming Rosa María Ares, a child psychologist, specialist in child development, and author of El Camino de Chompis. In an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and joy, we enjoyed an enriching reading session in the auditorium, which allowed our students to immerse themselves in the world of the story and share the wonderful habit of reading alongside their grandparents.

The activity continued with a fun and story-inspired dynamic, in which both young and old could participate, learn, and enjoy together.

This gathering was a beautiful opportunity to strengthen the bonds between generations and recognize the important role grandparents play in the lives and stories of our children.

Safety Week: a week to learn how to take care of ourselves

During Safety Week, our school carried out a series of educational activities aimed at students from different grades, with the goal of promoting safety, prevention, and personal care as well as care for others.

Throughout the week, students participated in talks and sessions given by specialists and invited institutions. Students from 3rd to 5th grade learned about pedestrian safety and also took part in the talk “My Safety Superpowers: Recognizing My Emotions and Asking for Help,” where they learned to recognize their emotions, trust their instincts, and ask for help when they need it.

Meanwhile, students from 6th to 8th grade learned more about risk management in traffic and mobility, thanks to a session by INTRANT. Additionally, students from 6th to 9th grade participated in “Where Do We Draw the Line?”, an activity focused on setting boundaries and making safe and responsible decisions.

Students from 9th to 12th grade learned about the importance of taking care of their digital footprint in a session led by CNCS and Verónica Samaniego, where they reflected on how their actions on the internet can affect their privacy, security, and digital presence.

Likewise, 12th-grade students participated in a “Hands-Only” CPR demonstration conducted by SIMLAB-INTEC, where they learned basic skills to respond in an emergency.

Finally, students from 1st and 2nd grade participated in “Safe Smiles: Oral Health Prevention” with Dr. Pamela Hilario, where they learned simple habits to maintain good oral health.

Together, these activities made Safety Week an opportunity for students to acquire practical knowledge about road safety, first aid, health, emotions, boundaries, and digital security. The week highlighted the importance of being informed, recognizing risks, and knowing how to act to protect ourselves and others.

Families gather for an evening of integration and preparation for the new school year at Parents Night

With the purpose of strengthening the bonds between the educational community and families, the school held its Parents Night, a day dedicated to sharing, connecting, and preparing together for the new school year.

During the event, parents and family members had the opportunity to learn more about the expectations and goals for the academic period, as well as to interact with members of the educational community in an atmosphere of integration and enthusiasm.

The activity reaffirmed the importance of family participation in the students’ educational process, recognizing their fundamental role in every stage of their academic and personal development.

The institution expressed gratitude to all the parents and family members who participated in this special event and who continue to be an essential part of their children’s journey.

Domínico Americano Preschool celebrates a Summer Bash full of fun, games, and joy

The little ones enjoyed a special day during the Preschool Summer Bash, a summer celebration that brought together music, colors, games, and various recreational activities designed to make the most of this stage of childhood.

The event featured a joyful and dynamic atmosphere, where children had the opportunity to socialize, play, and participate in different activities prepared especially for them.

The gathering made the day an experience filled with enthusiasm and fun, creating special moments amidst laughter, music, and activities that allowed the little ones to enjoy themselves alongside their classmates.

The Preschool Summer Bash also served as a way to celebrate the end of a school stage and welcome the summer break, leaving the children with positive memories of their experiences throughout the school year.

Paving Our Bright Future El Domínico Americano Preschool Celebrates Kindergarten Graduation

With an emotional and joyful ceremony, El Domínico Americano Preschool celebrated the graduation of its Kindergarten students, marking the end of a stage filled with discovery, growth, and meaningful experiences, as well as the beginning of new academic adventures.

Inspired by the theme “Paving Our Bright Future,” the celebration highlighted the achievements of the little ones, who proudly took a significant step in their school journey. The event brought together families, teachers, and members of the educational community in an atmosphere filled with emotion, warmth, and celebration.

During the ceremony, students participated in performances full of joy, creativity, and enthusiasm, reflecting the skills developed throughout the school year. They also received their certificates in recognition of a year of continuous learning, curiosity, and growth in their formative process.

The educational community of the Domínico Americano School and Preschool experienced an unforgettable day during the celebration of our long-awaited Field Day, an activity designed to promote integration, teamwork, and healthy fun among students, families, and staff.

Students are recognized for promoting values of sustainability, art, and cultural diversity

With great pride, we celebrated the certificate award ceremony for the month of April, where our students were recognized for demonstrating values that contribute to building a better future.

During this meaningful event, students who reflected the value of Environmental Sustainability were highlighted, promoting care, respect, and responsibility toward our planet. Likewise, Appreciation for Art, Music, and the Diversity of Human Cultures was recognized, valuing creativity, artistic expression, and the cultural richness that makes our world a more significant and unique place.
